Nick Downes's work appears frequently in a wide variety of publications both in the U.S. (The New Yorker, Barron's, Playboy, The Wall Street Journal) and the U.K. (The Spectator, Private Eye, The Oldie, and Prospect).

His cartoons have been reprinted in innumerable textbooks, particularly his science-related cartoons, of which he has published two collections: Big Science, AAAS Press, 1992, and Whatever Happened to 'Eureka'?, Rutgers University Press, 1994.

A line of his (notoriously) off-beat greeting cards are published by NobleWorks, Inc.

Nick Downes has been a long-standing member of the Cartoonists Association and serves on its Board of Governors. He currently resides in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn, N.Y.
